Cryptograpy - Encryption and Decryption

 

Cryptography:-
        Cryptography is a process of converting plain text into unintelligible text and also do vice versa.In other word it is method of transmitting data in a particular form so that for whom it is intended can read it.
     
              There is two types of cryptography:-
1.Symmetric Key Cryptography.
2.Asymmetric Key Cryptography.



Encryption:-
        Encryption is the process of converting normal message into meaningless messages.In other words it is a conversion of something into the code so that it can't understand by others.



Decryption:-
        Decryption is the process of converting meaningless messages into normal messages which can understand by the humans.

Some functions of cryptography are:-
1.Confidentiality:-
            Information can only be accessed by the person for whom it is inteded and no other person except him can access it.

2.Integrity:-
         The information can be modified in transition between sender and recevier without any addition to information being deleted.

3.Non-repudiation:-
           The creator or sender of information or data cannot deny his or her intention to send information at the later stage.

4.Authentication:-
           The identities and destination of the sender and recever are also confrimed.
